Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith feels that his side have to show character going into the final week of the season with their playoff fate out of their hands.
The Chiefs lost control of their future as they fell to a 20-12 defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Smith is adamant that he and his teammates need to continue to believe going into their final match.
"It completely changes things, for sure," Smith told reporters.
"We've got a lot of character inside our locker room and I don't think it will impact our preparation and how we go about things this week."
Andy Reid's men need to beat the San Diego Chargers and for the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans to lose their respective matches to reach the post-season.
