Marvin Austin has said that he hopes to take advantage of a "new beginning" with the Miami Dolphins.
The defensive tackle signed for the AFC East side yesterday, having been released by the New York Giants last month.
The 24-year-old told the team's official website: "I feel like this is a new beginning for myself and I hope to take full advantage. I'm just grateful to be here.
"I'm going to be a professional, give it everything I got and let my play do the talking. I plan to bring quickness, strength and make plays for this team.
"From what I've seen on film I think this suits my game a little better and I think it tailors to the quick stuff I was known for."
The Dolphins placed Vaughn Martin on injured reserve to make room for Austin on their 53-man roster.
