The Miami Dolphins have announced that cornerback Brent Grimes has agreed a new four-year deal with the club.
The 30-year-old joined the Dolphins last season on a short-term deal and put in a series of impressive performances throughout the 2013 campaign, which the club have rewarded with the new contract worth $32m (£19m).
"This is awesome to hear [general manager] Dennis [Hickey] talk about me like that and to know that the organisation feels that way about me is a great feeling," Grimes told the club's official website. "I've been in this league a while and actually feel appreciated here.
"That was a big thing for me. I just want to say thank you to the whole Dolphins organisation starting with Stephen Ross of course for being our owner and making a final decision that he really wants to pay to keep me here."
The cornerback recorded 60 tackles and four interceptions for his side in the 2013 campaign.
