Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer has revealed that rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will return from an ankle injury against the Detroit Lions in week six.
Bridgewater missed Thursday's 42-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers, with Christian Ponder struggling in his absence as the Vikings slipped to 2-3 for the season.
The rookie himself told the media that he had "no doubt" he would start against the Lions.
"It was a decision that Coach [Zimmer] made, and they felt it was best for the team and felt it was best for me," Bridgewater said, NFL.com reports.
Meanwhile, Ponder threw two interceptions and was sacked six times at Lambeau Field after being promoted to starting signal caller by Zimmer.
