Leslie Frazier and Christian Ponder have heaped praise on Cordarrelle Patterson following his debut for the Minnesota Vikings on Friday.
The rookie wide receiver had four receptions in the 27-13 loss to the Houston Texans, recording 54 receiving yards in the process.
The team's head coach told Fox Sports North: "That's exactly what you want out of a rookie playing wide receiver in our league. He's going to be hungry coming back, now we just have to keep feeding him, helping him continue to grow."
The starting quarterback added: "[Patterson] is great with the ball in his hands, obviously. I always had high expectations for him. I think he did even better with the lights on."
The Vikings used one of their first-round picks to secure Patterson in the draft earlier this year.
