Minnesota Vikings running back Toby Gerhart is a doubt for Sunday's clash with the Philadelphia Eagles with a hamstring complaint.
Gerhart sustained the injury during last weekend's whirlwind defeat to the Baltimore Ravens, a game in which first-choice Adrian Peterson had also been hurt.
With Peterson still struggling himself, the Vikings are hopeful of having Gerhart active. Otherwise second-year back Matt Asiata will be called into action.
The team said via their official Twitter page: "Coach [Leslie] Frazier says he's more optimistic with Gerhart than with Peterson, but also said Peterson is a fast healer and is determined to play."
Gerhart has 283 rushing yards to his name so far this season, with two touchdowns.
