Minnesota Vikings confident Blair Walsh can play

Minnesota Vikings insist that Blair Walsh will be fit to take to the field on Sunday.

Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier has revealed that he is hopeful kicker Blair Walsh will be able to play against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

Walsh was withdrawn from training on Thursday but Frazier said that it was just a precautionary measure and that he should be fit to play.

"We just shut him down," Frazier told the Star Tribune. "Precautionary. So we'll see how he feels tomorrow.

"I think he'll be fine, based on what [head athletic trainer] Eric Sugarman said. He should be fine. Just want to be smart."

Both the Vikings and the Panthers are 1-3 so far this season.
