The Vikings took the lead in the game in the first quarter when quarterback Matt Cassel had all the time in the world to stand up the pocket and fire the ball downfield to Greg Jennings, who made the catch to run into the endzone for the 57-yard score.
Philadelphia got on the board with a field goal after runs of over 20 yards from quarterback Nick Foles and running back LeSean McCoy moved them into the redzone, but they could not get the ball in for the touchdown, leaving Alex Henery to nail the 35-yarder through the posts.
Minnesota extended their lead through the boot of Blair Walsh with a 21-yard-field goal. However, they were nearly pegged back level when DeSean Jackson ran an endaround into the endzone, but it was called back for an illegal block by Foles, forcing Henery into kicking a 51-yarder.

Philadelphia reduced the deficit to eight points before the break with another field goal from Henery from 33 yards.
After the break, the Vikings extended their lead as Cassel found space through the middle of the line and ran into the endzone for a six-yard score, while minutes later Walsh handed them a 20-point advantage as his field goal from 38 yards sailed through the posts.
However, the Eagles then launched a comeback as Jackson hauled in a pass from Foles and ran the ball in for a 56-yard touchdown.
Ertz then collected a three-yarder to with an excellent catch in the endzone to bring his side within five points.
The Vikings wrestled control of the game away from the Eagles, though, as Asiata concluded an excellent drive with a one-yard score, while minutes later Cassel found Cordarrelle Patterson in the endzone for the touchdown to hand them a 19-point lead.
Philadelphia weren't done yet as Jason Avant hauled in a 16-yard pass from Foles and Riley Cooper caught the two-point conversion, but another score from Asiata ended the game to seal the win for the Vikings.
