New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has expressed his belief that Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker will "definitely" be fit for Sunday's match between the two teams.
Welker is currently recovering from concussion and has not be able to participate in full practice so far this week, raising doubts over whether he would be ready to face his former side.
However, Brady believes that he knows his old teammate well enough to be confident that Welker will line up against his side on Sunday.
"I've been around [Welker] long enough to know what he's all about. He loves playing football, and if there's a chance for him to play, especially coming back here, he's definitely going to be out there. I've got no question about that," Brady told WEEI.
Welker spent six seasons with the Patriots and was named in their All-Decade side of the 2000s.
