New England Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones has admitted that he needs to work on his technique when he is tackling the quarterback.
The 24-year-old was penalised twice last week for illegal hits to Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, which turned out to be costly in his side's defeat to Joe Philbin's team.
Jones told reporters: "It's just one of the things I have to work on. That's something I know. I don't need a reminder about that.
"When you get a shot at the quarterback, that's a dream. Your eyes kind of get big. It's an opportunity for you to make a big play for your team.
"That's where you have to tone it down and lower your pad level so you can get a clean and legal hit on the quarterback."
The Patriots take on the Minnesota Vikings in their week-two clash tomorrow.
