New England Patriots release Kyle Hix, Spencer Larsen

Spencer Larsen and Kyle Hix are cut from the New England Patriots' roster.

The New England Patriots have announced that offensive lineman Kyle Hix and fullback Spencer Larsen have been cut from their roster.

Larsen missed the entire 2012 season because of a knee injury, while Hix has spent the last two years on injured reserve.

Hix was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2011, but never featured in a game for the Patriots.

The full-back joined the Patriots last year from the Denver Broncos.
