New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has reacted on Facebook to the NFL's decision to uphold his four-game suspension over deflategate.
In the post, Brady defends his decision to destroy his phone after his attorneys told the NFL that it would not be subjected to investigation under any circumstances.
The 37-year-old also wrote of his disappointment that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell upheld the decision based on it being "probable" that he was "generally aware" of the misconduct.
Goodell said yesterday that the quarterback's destruction of evidence was a factor in their decision.
Brady posted on his Facebook page: "I did nothing wrong, and no one in the Patriots organization did either. He dismissed my hours of testimony and it is disappointing that he found it unreliable.
"To suggest that I destroyed a phone to avoid giving the NFL information it requested is completely wrong."
The NFLPA has been told by Brady to take the NFL to federal court in order to overturn the decision.
