LeGarrette Blount to re-join New England Patriots

LeGarrette Blount returns to the New England Patriots after he was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this week.

Running back LeGarrette Blount will re-join the New England Patriots after he was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday.

Blount was at the Patriots' training facility on Thursday morning and he will sign a contract with Bill Belichick's team in the coming hours, NFL.com reports.

The 27-year-old was cut by Pittsburgh after leaving their game against the Tennessee Titans on Monday before the end as he was displeased with the fact that he had no carries.

It is reported that he has received a two-year deal from New England and he will make the veteran minimum this season as he passed through waivers on Wednesday.

Blount spent last season with the Patriots and he compiled 772 yards on 153 carries with seven touchdowns as he looks to gain a more prominent role than the one he had with the Steelers.
