The Arizona Cardinals head into half time with a narrow 10-7 lead over the New York Giants at the Met Life Stadium this evening.
With starting quarterback Carson Palmer out injured, Drew Stanton made his first NFL start in almost four years, and got the NFC West side off to a good start by handing the ball off to Jonathan Dwyer for an early touchdown.
Eli Manning struggled while trying to get the Giants back on level terms, throwing an interception which set up Cardinals kicker Chandler Catanzaro for a field goal to extend Arizona's lead.
The home side were forced to punt when the quarterback was sacked again in the second quarter, but the Cardinals were unable to add to their score.
Manning recovered to reduce the deficit just before the end of the second quarter when he completed a seven-yard pass to Rueben Randle.
