Jon Beason has said that he feels "pretty comfortable" after joining the New York Giants.
The linebacker was traded to the NFC East side last Friday, and is expected to play a larger role against the Chicago Bears tomorrow, having featured on special teams against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
The 28-year-old told the team's official website: "I'm in the playbook heavy. It's different terminology, but I've played football in this league for a long time, so I feel pretty comfortable about it.
"Before my injury, I never left the field. I'm used to being right out there, making calls, getting lined up and playing in the [middle linebacker] position. It's nothing like primetime. It's a huge stage, which we didn't get that many primetime games in Carolina."
Beason has made 11 tackles so far this season.
