New York Giants place Corey Webster on injured reserve

The New York Giants confirm that they have placed cornerback Corey Webster on season-ending injured reserve with an ankle injury.

The New York Giants have announced that they have placed cornerback Corey Webster on their injured reserve list.

Webster has been out of action with an ankle injury for the past six games after sustaining the problem in his side's win over the Philadelphia Eagles in October.

The problem has not abated over the past month and as a result the Giants have chosen to end his season by placing the 31-year-old on IR.

Webster had started four games in the campaign, making just 13 tackles.
