The Dolphins went into the game looking to snap a two-match losing streak, but they got off to a poor start when the visiting Jets picked up an early touchdown.
Ryan Fitzpatrick set up the score with a 58-yard completion to Brandon Marshall down the left, before Chris Ivory finished it off by just about making it over the line from three yards out.

Todd Bowles's side were soon back in the redzone, although this time they were forced to settle for just three points as Nick Folk knocked over a field goal from 22 yards.
Miami's struggles on offense continued into the second quarter, and they soon found themselves further behind when Folk slotted a 48-yard kick between the posts.

A touch of ill-discipline began to creep into the Jets' game, however, and consecutive pass interference penalties brought the Dolphins into the redzone, where Ryan Tannehill floated the ball over to Jake Stoneburner to get his side on the board.
However, the Jets restored their 13-point advantage just before half time when Fitzpatrick fired a 10-yard pass to Eric Decker with just over 30 seconds remaining until the break.
The Dolphins did not have enough time to come up with a response in the dying stages of the half as they face the prospect of dropping to 1-3 for the season.
