The New York Jets have announced that that the injury suffered by Antonio Cromartie in their season opener is not as severe as they feared.
The 31-year-old was carted off the field during the second quarter of the Jets' win over the Cleveland Browns, with what appeared to be a serious knee injury.
However, an MRI scan has determined that Cromartie sustained a sprained knee and may only miss two weeks as a result of the problem.
CB Antonio Cromartie's MRI came back negative. He has a sprained knee and is week-to-week. He has not been ruled out for Monday night.
