New York Jets not expecting quick recovery from Chris Ivory

The New York Jets are reportedly not expecting a 'quick rebound' from injured running back Chris Ivory.

New York Jets running back Chris Ivory could be out of action for a number of weeks after he suffered a hamstring injury on Sunday.

Ivory - who missed most of pre-season with a strain to the same leg - got hurt during the 27-20 win over the Buffalo Bills, leaving the field midway through the second quarter.

ESPN reporter Rich Cimini tweeted on Monday: "Ivory hamstring: Same one as camp, but injury in different spot. Given slow recovery the first time, team not expecting quick rebound."

Bilal Powell will take over Ivory's duties in his absence.
