New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan feels that he has to choose between "two excellent quarterbacks" in Geno Smith and Michael Vick to become his side's starter for the 2014 season.
Both signal callers impressed during the Jets' pre-season win over the Indianapolis Colts, and Ryan has admitted that he faces a tough choice when it comes to deciding who will play against the Oakland Raiders on September 7.
He told reporters: "We'll just let this thing play out. It's our first pre-season game. Obviously, we know we have two excellent quarterbacks.
"I thought Geno played extremely well. He had a few throwaways. I thought he did a great job stepping up in the pocket a few times and protecting the ball."
The Jets face the Cincinnati Bengals in their next pre-season clash.
