North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron has insisted that he is one of the top tight end picks available for this year's Draft, and sent a 'come and get me' plea to NFL franchises who need a player in his position.
Ebron, who has been strongly linked with a move to the Green Bay Packers, said that he would only join a team that does not want him to change his weight too much.
"If you need a tight end, I'm here," the Packers official website quotes him as saying. "I played at 245. This is where I want to stay. This is where I feel fast and most comfortable.
"A lot of teams don't press me because they can't. I will not be pressed at the line of scrimmage. I'm very fast and very different. I need to work on everything. Everything will help me be an elite tight end. I do things different than other tight ends do.
"Hopefully, I'm the first one off the board, but I don't know what NFL teams think. I think we have a great tight end class. This is probably one of the best tight end classes ever."
Ebron has been compared to San Francisco 49ers player Vernon Davis.
