Allen: 'Woodson has plenty left to give'

Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen believes that veteran defensive back Charles Woodson has plenty left to give in the NFL and would have him back at the club next season.

Woodson will turn 38 during the 2014 season, but showed no signs of slowing down for the Raiders last season, as he continued to show his playmaking form that he has shown throughout his 16-year career.

"I definitely think he's got something left in the tank," Allen told reporters.

"Obviously, when you get to that age, you never know when the tank's going to empty out. I felt like he brought a lot to the table for our football team this past season.

"I think he's a guy we'd like to hopefully bring back. There's a business side to anything that you do, but I thought from a leadership perspective and really from a playing perspective, I thought he brought a lot to the table."

Woodson revealed that he wants to continue playing in the NFL, but has ruled out a return to the Green Bay Packers.
