The Oakland Raiders announce that they have signed veteran cornerback Carlos Rogers following his release by the San Francisco 49ers.

The Oakland Raiders have announced that they have signed veteran defensive back Carlos Rogers.

The 32-year-old was released by the San Francisco 49ers just before free agency, and has now penned a deal to move to the AFC West side to join former 49ers teammate Tarell Brown.

A statement on the club's official website said: "The Oakland Raiders have signed free agent Carlos Rogers, general manager Reggie McKenzie announced Monday."

Rogers recorded 47 tackles and two interceptions in the 2013 season.
