The Philadelphia Eagles have claimed a 17-7 lead over the New York Giants in a first half littered with mistakes at Lincoln Financial Field.
It was the perfect start from Eli Manning and the Giants offense as they breezed through their opening drive to score when the quarterback fired a 13-yard pass to Odell Beckham Jr.
Possession was soon back with the Giants and the signs looked worrying for the Eagles as Manning connected with his first 10 passes, before DeMeco Ryans stepped in with an interception to shift the momentum of the game.
The Eagles were soon level through a seven-play 78-yard drive which finished with Sam Bradford sending a 32-yard pass to Riley Cooper, who took just one step to reach the endzone.
A promising start from New York was a distant memory as they put together a string of mistakes, and an error proved costly when Manning's risky pass intended for Dwayne Harris was picked off by Nolan Carroll and he cruised to the endzone to put the Eagles ahead.
Despite earning the lead, Philadelphia were making regular mistakes, too, with Jayron Hosley intercepting one of his passes as both teams continued to search for their best on offense.
As the half-time interval approached, a poor punt from New York's Brad Wing invited pressure from the Eagles, who used the final play of the second quarter to add to their lead as Caleb Sturgis converted a 37-yard field goal.
