Report: Philadelphia Eagles prefer Jeremy Maclin to Riley Cooper

The Philadelphia Eagles will reportedly prioritise keeping Jeremy Maclin over Riley Cooper for the 2014 NFL season.

The Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly prioritised a new contract for Jeremy Maclin over re-signing Riley Cooper.

Both wide receivers are due to head into free agency next month, with the NFC East side indicating that they would like to keep hold of both players.

The Philadelphia Inquirer claims that Maclin, who missed the 2013 NFL season with a torn ACL, is their top priority, with the New York Jets also thought to be interested in the 25-year-old.

Cooper was second in receiving yards for the team in 2013 with 835, as well as eight touchdowns.
