Darren Sproles felt disrespected by New Orleans Saints

Former New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles reveals that he felt disrespected by the way he found out he was being traded via Twitter.

Philadelphia Eagles star Darren Sproles has revealed that he felt disrespected by the New Orleans Saints with regards to the way he left the franchise this summer.

The 31-year-old claims that he first found out about being traded last season via Twitter, and that has inevitably left a bitter taste in his mouth.

"Listen, I understand this is business and all of that, but [when they pulled off the trade] they put it up on Twitter. That's how I found out. There was a screenshot and a friend of mine texted it to me. I felt they did me wrong," NJ.com reports.

Sproles's wife made the headlines early in the off-season after she publicly slammed the Saints organisation for their handling of the situation, but the Eagles star has waited to share his thoughts.

However, the running back has emerged as a valuable player for the Eagles so far this season, running for 121 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries.
