Ike Taylor has sustained a fractured ankle and is expected to miss at least two weeks for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The cornerback picked up the injury against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said: "You can say a lot of things about Ike, and a lot of positive things, but probably the thing that sticks out the most is his durability and availability.
"This guy hasn't missed practices, let alone football games, since I've been here."
The 32-year-old has played in 135 consecutive starts for Pittsburgh.
