Philip Rivers has committed his future to the San Diego Chargers by signing a four-year contract extension.
The 34-year-old was entering the final year of his contract with the AFC West side, leading to speculation that the 2015 season could be his last with the club.
Reports suggested that the quarterback was not happy at the prospect of the club's potential move to Los Angeles, resulting in him being linked with a trade move to the Tennessee Titans.
However, Rivers has ended speculation surrounding his future by penning a deal until the end of the 2019 season worth $83.2m (£53.1m), with $65m (£41.5m) guaranteed.
Rivers has thrown for 36,655 yards and 252 touchdowns to 122 interceptions in his 11 years in the NFL.
