San Francisco 49ers cornerback Perrish Cox has insisted that he didn't take a dive on the final play of regulation to earn a penalty against New Orleans Saints tight end Jimmy Graham.
The 49ers recorded an overtime win over the Saints, but were forced to hold their breath on the last play of normal time when Drew Brees fired deep to the endzone for Graham, who made the catch for the apparent game-winning touchdown.
However, the officials deemed that the 27-year-old pushed off against Cox to claim the catch and chalked off the score, something which Graham has vehemently denied.
"Man, look here, that wasn't a flop at all," Cox told Fox Sports. "If they want to call it that, well, if he didn't push me, it would've been an [interception].
"People can say what they want. Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but we came out with the victory and that's all that matters."
The 49ers moved to 5-4 in their season with the victory over the Saints.
