Frank Gore has conceded that he needs to know soon if the San Francisco 49ers want him to return for the 2015 season.
The 31-year-old is out of contract when the league year officially comes to an end in March, and is coming off one of his least productive seasons in the NFL.
General manager Trent Baalke claimed at the end of the campaign that he hoped Gore would remain with the club, but the veteran back has revealed that the 49ers have yet to relay that message to him personally with an offer.
"I know the fans love me but I need to know if the management does," Gore wrote his Instagram account, before later deleting the post.
Gore recorded 1,106 rushing yards and four touchdowns for the 49ers last season.
