Michael Bennett wants Seattle Seahawks raise

Seattle Seahawks star Michael Bennett insists that he wants a raise, but isn't interested in being traded.

Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett has insisted that he wants a raise, but isn't interested in a trade.

Bennett signed a four-year deal in March 2014, and Seahawks general manager John Schneider has previously insisted that the franchise will not re-negotiate contracts.

"I think everyone who has a job, they want a raise for whatever they're doing," Bennett said on King 5 TV.

"I'm just like any other American. I think everybody wants to be paid a little bit more. So I don't think I fall short of that. People assume when you ask for a little more money, they assume that you want to be traded or something like that. But that's not what I'm trying to go for."

It is reported that Bennett and his agent Drew Rosenhaus may want more of his contract money up front, similar to Marshawn Lynch last summer.
