Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is on the brink of a mammoth trade to the Denver Broncos for the 2022 NFL season.
The 33-year-old has spent his entire professional career with the Seahawks, winning the Super Bowl in 2013 and appearing in nine Pro Bowls since 2012.
Wilson had played in 149 consecutive NFL matches before being forced to take time out injured for the first time due to a broken finger, ending the 2021 season with a career-low 3,113 passing yards and 25 touchdown passes.
Now, multiple outlets are reporting an imminent trade between the Broncos and Seahawks for Wilson, with the Denver-based side teasing his arrival with a GIF on social media.
The Broncos posted a GIF from the film Cast Away of Wilson - a volleyball named by Tom Hanks's character - and Drew Lock is reportedly set to head to the Seahawks as part of the trade.

Wilson boasts a 104−53−1 record from his 158 games for the Seahawks, with the quarterback now needing to undertake a physical and waive his no-trade clause to complete the move.
