A touchdown from JJ Nelson has helped the Arizona Cardinals open up a 10-0 lead over the St Louis Rams at half time in the all-NFC West clash in the NFL.
David Johnson made a series of short runs on the opening drive for the visitors, before Michael Floyd hauled in a 20-yard catch, setting up Carson Palmer for a 22-yard touchdown pass to Nelson a couple of plays later.
Nick Foles tried to find Kenny Britt with a long pass as the Rams looked to get back on level terms, but the throw was short, gifting Rashad Johnson an interception.
Both sides showed their defensive strength for the remainder of the first half, with both teams forced to punt three possessions in a row.
Arizona managed to get into field goal range again just before half time though after Floyd moved the ball to the 15-yard line, setting up Chandler Catanzaro for the kick.
