Sam Bradford "wasn't too worried" by Johnny Manziel rumours

St Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford says that he was never "too worried" by rumours that the team would pick Johnny Manziel in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Sam Bradford has said that he "wasn't too worried" by speculation that the St Louis Rams would select Johnny Manziel during the 2014 NFL Draft.

The NFC West side had two first-round picks in this year's Draft, including the second overall choice, but the former Heisman Trophy winner was picked by the Cleveland Browns.

The Rams quarterback, who is currently recovering from an ACL tear, told the St Louis Post-Dispatch: "[From] the end of last year, I was in communication with [general manager] Les [Snead] and [head coach] Jeff [Fisher], and they made it very clear what their plan was. Throughout the off-season, they continued to make that clear. So I knew what my position on this team was.

"Like I said, I had been in pretty good communication with Les and Jeff, and they had made it pretty clear what their intention was, so I really wasn't too worried. I pretty much knew what was gonna happen."

Bradford was the top pick in the 2008 Draft, and is heading into the final year of his rookie contract with the Rams.
