Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David has claimed that he is "more comfortable" ahead of the upcoming season than he was at the same stage last year.
David enjoyed a successful rookie season during the last campaign, ending it as his side's leading tackler with 139 - a tally that put him joint-eighth in the whole league.
Asked what his goals were for the upcoming season, David told reporters: "Just don't have a setback. Everybody says the second year is where you fall off.
"I'm just trying to get better and keep myself from getting complacent and just try to add on to what I did last year.
"Last year, I came out running around like a chicken with the head cut off, but now I'm in the groove of things and becoming more comfortable."
David was the 58th overall pick of last year's draft.
