Team Rice secure late victory over Team Sanders to win NFL Pro Bowl

Team Rice beat Team Sanders 22-21 to win the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii.

Team Rice have beaten Team Sanders by one point to win the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii.

Deion Sanders's side took an early lead when Andrew Luck found DeSean Jackson with a deep pass, allowing the receiver to make a grab for the score.

That was how the first quarter ended, although Team Sanders made a crucial interception just before the end.

Early in the second, the game was level. Drew Brees had Jimmy Graham split out wide and the quarterback found the tight end to make it 7-7.

Team Sanders retook the lead when Cam Newton ran in from a yard. However, Team Rice fought back again, levelling the clash thanks to a Josh Gordon touchdown with 36 seconds of the first half remaining.

Justin Tucker had the opportunity to edge Team Sanders in front again just before the interval, but his 66-yard field-goal attempt dropped just short.

After a scoreless third quarter, Team Sanders briefly regained control in the fourth when Nick Foles dropped back in the pocket on second and nine, and lofted a pass up in the air for Jordan Cameron, who jumped highest and got in for the 16-yard score.

With 41 seconds left on the clock, Team Rice were back in the game as Alex Smith fired a pass to DeMarco Murray for a dramatic late touchdown.

In an attacking move, they went for the two-point conversion and were successful with Mike Tolbert powering over the goalline to put his side narrowly ahead.

Moments later, Tucker tried his luck with a kick from 67 yards, but his all-or-nothing field-goal attempt was no good.
