Tennessee Titans appoint new offensive coordinator

Tennessee Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt appoints San Diego Chargers tight ends coach Jason Michael as the team's new offensive coordinator.

The Tennessee Titans have named Jason Michael as their new offensive coordinator.

The AFC South side cleared out their coaching staff at the end of the 2013 regular season, and have already appointed Ken Whisenhunt as their new head coach.

Michael joins the Titans from the San Diego Chargers, where he spent last season as tight ends coach working alongside Whisenhunt, who was in charge of the San Diego offense.

The Titans have not reached the playoffs since the 2008 season.
