The Washington Redskins are leading the Miami Dolphins 10-7 at the halfway stage of their NFL season opener at the FedEx Field.
The Redskins went in front with 7:40 on the clock in the first quarter after Kai Forbath converted a 45-yard field goal.
Head coach Jay Gruden was then hit with an injury blow as wide receiver DeSean Jackson came off for the hosts shortly after suffering an apparent hamstring injury while attempting to catch a Kirk Cousins pass.
Cousins himself was then picked by Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes, but made up for the setback by finding tight end Jordan Reed in the endzone late in the second quarter.
The Skins looked set to go into the break with a two-score lead, but Rishard Matthews was found by Ryan Tannehill late on to get the Dolphins off the mark for a 10-7 half-time score.
