Washington Redskins' DeAngelo Hall hopeful of being ready for training camp

Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall is hopeful that he will have made enough progress in his recovery from two Achilles injuries to return for training camp.

Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall has revealed that he is hopeful of being fit for the start of his side's training camp.

The 31-year-old missed the majority of the 2014 season as he suffered two Achilles injuries, the first of which he sustained in week three of the campaign.

Hall has yet to practise for the club in the off-season, but has made enough progress in his recovery for him to suggest that he could be fit by the end of the month.

"I hope I'm ready to go the first day," Hall said on 106.7 The Fan. "When I say wean me back in, I know they are going to monitor me.

"I know they are not going to just throw me out there and [have me] take all the reps with the [first team]. I'm just going to get out there and see how the body feels."

Hall has recorded 733 tackles, two sacks and 43 interceptions in his 11-year NFL career.
