Jay Gruden has completed an interview for the vacant head coach position with the Washington Redskins, according to the official team website.
Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Gruden met with Redskins officials on Wednesday, as the team look to replace Mike Shanahan, who was sacked on December 30.
Gruden is in his 12th year as an NFL coach, and has helped the Bengals offense to three consecutive playoff appearances since he arrived there prior to the 2011 season.
He follows Cowboys special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia, Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell and Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell in interviewing for the Redskins position and the franchise have confirmed that a decision will be reached over the coming days.
