Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has insisted that he is almost back to full fitness following his return to 11-on-11 training drills.
Griffin had previously been restricted to seven-on-seven training but took part in a full-team walkthrough on Monday and will participate in drills on Tuesday.
"New phase, new hair, let's do it," Griffin told NFL.com. "More reps in practice. Being a football player.
"I don't think it's a huge step, I just think it's time to get back out there with my teammates."
"I've proven I can protect myself and I'm dang near close to 100% so I feel good and now I'm glad that coach [Mike Shanahan] feels the same way."
Griffin is expected to be fully fit in time for the 2013 season having impressed in his rookie year in 2012.
