England sprinter Bianca Williams has said that she was "inspired" by her teammates' exploits on the track at the Commonwealth Games on Tuesday.
Adam Gemili and Laura Weightman picked up silver medals in the 100m and 1,500m respectively to announce themselves on the world stage at a senior competition for the first time.
Williams, who comfortably qualified for the women's 200m semi-final yesterday evening, is hoping to replicate some of that success herself as she looks to improve on her sixth-place finish in the 100m final.
"Silver Tuesday inspired me so much. I even said to one of my roommates yesterday 'its inspired me so much, I want to give it my all,'" she told Sports Mole.
"I know anything can happen in a final, anything can happen in the semi-final, but I know that I've come here and run well so I'm really excited."
Williams will take part in the 200m semi-finals this evening before potentially racing in the final later tonight.
