Team England sprinters Sophie Papps, Asha Philip and Bianca Williams have all qualified from the 100m heats to reach the second round at the Commonwealth Games.
Although the Jamaican sprinters were very strong, with Veronica Campbell-Brown, Schillonie Calvert and Kerron Stewart all winning their heats, the fastest time was set by Blessing Okagbare of Nigeria in heat five of 11.20s.
Papps came third in heat four in a time of 11.53s, Philips set 11.47s, while Williams was only just edged out by Stewart with a quick time of 11.37s.
The next round takes place on Monday.
