World champion Kirani James added an Olympic gold medal to his collection this evening by winning the men's 400m at the Games in London.
The 19-year-old eased himself down the back straight, before building up the pace down the home straight to win the race comfortably in a time of 43.94s - the first time he has broken the 44-second barrier.
He has also become the first athlete from Grenada to ever win a gold medal at an Olympic Games.
Fellow 19-year-old Luguelin Santos of the Dominican Republic took the silver medal in 44.46s.
Trinidad and Tobago's Lalonde Gordon claimed the bronze in a personal best time of 44.52s.
