A dry start is expected as the London Olympic Games enter day eight.

Day eight of the London Olympic Games is likely to begin dry but there could be a few showers emerging as we move into the afternoon.

Temperatures in London are likely to improve slowly throughout the morning to reach a maximum of 18 degrees, with a steady wind of 9mph.

It will be a cloudy start at Eton Dorney for the rowing and temperatures will move to around 17 degrees, but they will be accompanied by a high humidity rate of 77%.

The women's triathlon starts this morning in Hyde Park and as in the Olympic Stadium, conditions are likely to be dry and temperatures are expected to reach 19 degrees.

Away from London, the men's football quarter-finals start at Old Trafford at midday. Temperatures will be around 18 degrees, but accompanied by a slightly stronger wind of 11mph.
