Usain Bolt has insisted that his immediate focus is on his first run of the new season rather than the World Championship later in the year.
After a lighter schedule last year, Bolt is looking to retain his world titles in the 100m and 200m respectively, but the Jamaican sprinter has revealed that his sole target for the next week-and-a-half is opening his campaign in style in Rio de Janeiro on April 19.
The 28-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I want to run really fast this season so I'm working on it.
"I'm happy with where I'm at. I'm doing a lot of work leading up to this first run in Brazil. That's the focus and that's what we're working towards."
Following his appearance in Brazil, Bolt hopes to feature in the World Relay Championships in Bahamas on May 2.
