UK Sport has announced that there will be an additional £2.3m made available to help fund Olympic and Paralympic sports.
Shooting and fencing have seen their funding increased, while boccia, disability shooting, para-archery, para-Triathlon and powerlifting are the Paralympic events that will receive additional investment in the build-up to the Rio 2016 Olympics.
"We wouldn't expect to make any major changes to our investments at this stage in the cycle, but it is important we are able to review annually in order to be responsive to the competitive environment and to protect and enhance medal potential where additional funds can make a difference," Sky Sports News quotes UK Sport chief executive Liz Nicholl as saying.
"Rio is going to be another fantastic opportunity to make the nation proud, and our sports and athletes are rising to the challenge."
It has also been confirmed that wheelchair fencing will return to the World Class Programme.
