Team GB 800m semi-finalist Lynsey Sharp has admitted that she has tried to ignore the questions regarding her selection for the Olympics.
She was selected for the Games despite not achieving the required qualification time and has admitted that she was disappointed that she did not show what she was capable of after finishing seventh in her semi-final.
"I have tried to ignore all the stuff surrounding my selection and just focus on my running," she told BBC Sport.
"I just wanted to do what I knew I could do and I am disappointed that I didn't."
Sharp won silver at the at the European Championships earlier this year.
