Olympics 2024: Today's must-see events as Emily Campbell goes for gold on final day

Sports Mole discusses what to expect from Sunday's action at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where Emily Campbell goes for gold on the final day.

Before a spectacular two weeks of action comes to an end with the Paris 2024 Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday, gold medals in the double digits are still waiting to be claimed, and Great Britain are eyeing some last-gasp runs to glory in the French capital.

The nation failed to add any more golds to their tally on the penultimate day, but Caden Cunningham (taekwondo), Kate Shortman and Izzy Thorpe (artistic swimming) earned respectable silvers, while 10m platform diver Noah Williams and 1500m runner Georgia Bell both placed third, as did the 4x400m relay teams.

Elsewhere, USA conquered both the men's basketball and women's football competitions, and Ethiopian 32-year-old Tamirat Tola took the men's marathon crown in an Olympic record time.

Here, Sports Mole looks ahead to the must-see events in Paris on August 11, as Team GB seek some final slices of Parisian success.
