Great Britain's Zharnel Hughes has said that he ran a "great race" for the most part in the men's 200m heats at the World Athletics Championships.
The 20-year-old is taking part in his first major competition for GB in Beijing, and produced an impressive performance to win his heat and qualify for the semi-finals with the third-fastest time overall.
Hughes ended up coming home quicker than the likes of Justin Gatlin and training partner Usain Bolt, but he was not entirely satisfied with his display.
"I think I came off too lazy on to the curve. Other than that it was a great race," the Anguilla-born sprinter told BBC Sport.
"I came off well from the curve. It was difficult on the tight lane because I'm tall. To be here I feel blessed."
Britain's Danny Talbot also made it through to the semi-finals with a third-place finish in his heat.
